Hillary Madden joined Royle & Durney in February of 2013. She is a general practitioner, but concentrates her practice in criminal defense work, civil litigation and wills and estates. Her legal experience prior to joining Royle & Durney includes clerking for now-retired President Judge Ronald E. Vican and for Judge David Williamson on the Monroe County Court of Common Pleas. She also worked as an assistant district attorney for the Monroe County District Attorney’s office.
Ms. Madden is a member of the Monroe County Bar, where she is on the pro bono committee and is the Wills for Heroes Coordinator. She is a past President of the Young Lawyers division.
During law school, Ms. Madden worked in the Lehigh County District Attorney’s office and the McShane Firm in Harrisburg, PA. She also served as a student law clerk for Judge J. Michael Eakin on the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
Ms. Madden graduated cum laude from Widener University School of Law, where she competed in Moot Court and Trial Advocacy and was a member of the Honor Society for both organizations.
Ms. Madden, formerly Prutzman, lives with her husband in Stroudsburg, PA. She is the Assistant Girls’ Basketball Coach at Liberty High School in Bethlehem, PA.
